My name is Betty Biodiesel and I got a story for you.
It’s about
the possibility of a dream come true.
A hundred years ago this man named
Dr. Diesel put on one heck of a show.
He unveiled his machine.
This
one burns on peanut oil, he said, not on fossil fuels that are dead.
Back before Dinosaurs roamed this land, the plants and fish compressed
like sand.
The earth became tighter, things got hotter and the pockets
were formed.
What kind of pockets am I talking about? OIL
Oil pockets -
that’s right.
The hydrocarbons grew and grew. About the 1800’s
the black crude flew high into the sky.
The towers and pumps were built
and people stood around and thought.
What do we do with all this fine
black silt? And that is where the world started to shift.
The people
had choices back then on which way to go. But they decided to make
the almighty oil flow.

I see some things need changing, it is time for rearranging our view
Oh, I've got some information that requires action taken quite soon
Because our fossil fueling nation must awaken and change its tune.

We can be sustainable -- it is all attainable
All it takes is some commitment and some french frying grease
Using the petrol must cease
Or our landlord mother nature will soon refuse to renew our lease
